A comment from a reader..
Anyone who actually follows all of that advice, is a complete and total sheep. Not just a poser, but a conformist follower. It's so sad how some people say that being 'emo' is being unique and individual, when you are just reading a few 'how-tos' on the subject.
If you truly are being who you really are, and truly are being an individual, then nobody can give you a 'how-to'. Develop your own personal style and be yourself, not just one of the mindless followers of thousands of teenagers who all look and dress exactly alike.
On that subject, it actualy truly saddens me when I read a few of these comments saying 'heavier set guy, not fat, just bulky, i know this is a bad thing' or 'little puggy (not fat) how to I trem it down to small again? (with out turning it into muscle?)'
The foolish people who write these articles are just contributing to the body image crisis that is sweeping this world, making these peoples self esteem PLUMMET. The people who leave these comments are probably at an incredibly healthy and attractive weight, but people writing these how to be emo articles are telling them LIES about who they 'should' be.
If you are truly overweight like 300kg then I'd say lose some weight but it's not a bad thing to have a few curves!!
WHY are you telling them what to do and how to live their life, how much to weigh, how to look etc., and WHY are you listening to these people telling you to do these things? You are perfect the way you are- your true self is who you were meant to be and not what some 'how-to' tells you to do on the internet.
Don't put on the mask of labelling yourself, become truly unique and appreciative of who you really are on the inside. Nobody can tell you how to dress or how to look, only YOU can tell yourself that.
It really is sad, that people think they need to conform to some emo standard of style to give themselves any worth.
You need not be anyone other than yourself. Don't let people tell you how to live your life, only YOU can tell yourself that. I eagerly await the day that people finally start to wake up to who they really are inside.

Emo hair tips
Our hair denotes our identity. It is one of the most important aspects in our body. If our hair is beautiful, we feel great and confident. Out of various hairstyles we make, Emo hairstyle is one of the best. An emo hair, is a style created by your own, a style that is completely different from the others.
Here are some tips for creating an emo hair:
Here are some tips for creating an emo hair:
- Mess around with your hair until you get it how you like it without the part. (there are some general rules about parting hair, and if you want a side part then I'd say pick which side of your face you like better and part it 1/4 way from the side.)
- To get the visible part out of your hair, you need to bring your hair forward from much further back (closer to the crown of your head). Also, layer at the top (sort of a scene mullet.)
- Blonde hair works great with emo hair, you can add some cool, brightly hued highlight. Dye it black, plum or navy or get brown w/ blue, black and plum streaks.
- To make your hair grow, do cornrolls and use organic shampoo.
- Emo hair won’t look good with a round race. Try long hair with layers and bangs off to one side instead.
- You can dye your hair with a dark, shiny, sexy shade like a black-pink combination or a dark brown, which are the most common colors.
- You can highlight the tips of your hair with purple or blue that should be well mixed with the above used color.
- Go like heaps of layers and longish kinda spike at the back with all different color blondes through it.
- Leave it long, color it black and get thick blunt front bangs that go down to your eyes but don't cover them. If you are exotic looking, you can pull off black. Maybe get a chunk of blonde to peek through the side (one side only.) Layer the front around your face.
- Spiderweb isn’t that great. Try some smoky eyes instead.
- Unfortunately you can never not have a part in your hair, unless maybe you’ve got an afro that sticks straight out everywhere. There are two types of parts, your natural part (where your hair naturally falls) and a forced part (one you force yourself). Just train your hair to go where you want it to by forcing it into that position everyday until it falls that way itself.
- When you need a more laid back kinda look you can just have it straightened with a bit of hair spray for volume.
- Emo hairstyles needs a lot of maintenance such as blow drying, STRAIGHTENING, & coloring. Invest in good straighteners!
- Emo hair can look good on a guy but NEVER take it to the point where people can’t tell your gender.
- Photobucket is your friend ;)

New Fashion Hairstyle- Bryce Dallas Howard’s ponytail blonde hairstyle with bangs.
Bryce Dallas Howard traded her firey locks for the pale kind and is wearing a ponytail hairstyle while attending the Rape Foundation Benefit Gala Dinner Hosted By Barneys New York - Beverly Hills, California. I thought this was a very easy to do hairstyle, plus it was also interesting to see Bryce Dallas Howard trade in her fiery red locks for pale blonde ones. One of the biggest things when it comes to hair color is to be very careful and choose wisely!

New Fashion Hairstyle- Lindsay Lohan Curly hairstyle.
Lindsay Lohan is seen here at the Stand Up to Cancer Event in New York City, and event that she attended with her mom and manager Dina Lohan. Lindsay may be making headlines due to her relationship status, but she is not letting that get in the way of catering to her fashion diva sensibilities. And I love the fact that Lindsay is one of the few women left in Hollywood with long hair that is actually her own, no you won’t see this girl sporting extensions any time soon and you don’t need to as she maintains her long blonde locks beautifully. Lindsay has set her standard waves aside for the event and gone for a curlier look that add sex appeal to her leather mini and jacket. You can achieve this look as well, and this time you will want to go with rollers overnight. Start off in the evening washing your hair with texturizing shampoo that will give your hair some bend and texture, and towel dry your hair for about ten minutes.
New Fashion Hairstyle- Lindsay Lohan Gets Sleek and Polished
Lindsay Lohan is seen here looking sleek and polished as she enjoys an evening out at the trendy Mr. Chow restaurant in the Hills of Beverly. And Lindsay is not one of those Hollywood girls that can say that she looks glamorously beautiful all the time, but when she does clean herself up a bit, her striking features always impress me. Here she has gone simple with the hairstyle, and opted for a sleek and polished look on her straight long, honey colored locks. The beauty to this look is that it is fresh, clean, and has plenty of movement. If you have long hair, you can achieve this look by starting off with freshly washed hair. Run some smoothing balm through your hair, but avoid smoothing product too close to the root or you will end up with some grease factor at the finish line.
New Fashion Hairstyle- Lindsay Lohan’s long sexy hairstyle!
Lindsay Lohan is wearing her gorgeous locks in a sexy long hairstyle while recently at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas visiting girlfriend Samantha Ronson. Lindsay Lohan’s hair has been through alot, but she has managed to keep it looking long luscious and sexy regardless and maintainly overall a very healthy look to it. Her hair is very long of course being a hard to maintain hairstyle you constantly see her with it down, messy, sexy and pulled back.
New Fashion Hairstyle- Lindsay Lohan's light brown long hairstyle.
New Fashion Hairstyle- Eva Longoria Parker medium retro hairstyle.
Eva Longoria Parker at the "Sound of Hope" Benefit Gala.
This thick, gorgeous coiffure takes us back to the silver screen days of the 1930's when the actresses wore layers and layers of curl making any dense hair appear even thicker. The rage was the curliest of perms and Eva Longoria Parker wears it well as she takes us back in time.
